Tan Y Bwlch Mansion
The brief: Specify paint colours, flooring & kitchens and turn 2 of the 13 flats in to show-flats
This mansion house outside Aberystwyth was converted in to 13 flats. Beautiful sea views on one side and rolling hills on the other!
I decided on a mix of fresh contemporary design with elements of grandure!

The Old Rectory on the Lake, Tal-y-llyn,
The brief: Modernise and refresh this turn of the century rectory that is now a B&B.
This lovely, friendly and highly rated B&B (with excellent cuisine) was in need of an overhaul.
Together with a team of decorators we completely redecorated the house and annex while the owners were on holiday!

City House, Four Crosses, 2012
The brief: Specify the surface materials for a group of three houses, flat and Victorian shop just north of Welshpool.
The buildings, all made from red brick, had barely been renovated since they were built. All the original fireplaces and doors were intact. Even the century-old shop shelves were all there, if a bit gnarled by rot.
For the shop and Victorian house we were inspired by the décor that showed through the dust and chose traditional paint combinations and Morris wallpapers.
For the flat and two other houses we chose a more contemporary, neutral almost Scandi look!
The buildings were all sensitively restored by C Sneade Ltd.
Nanteos Mansion, Rhydyfelin, 2011-2012
The brief: Turn a leaking Mid-Georgian Mansion in to a 5* Hotel. We worked with Kay Cullen from Laura Ashley, C Sneade Ltd and Catalina Architecture.
Each of the 13 rooms that were converted had a unique character, from the Eastern influence of the Japan & Formosa suites to the glamourous soft greys of the honey moon suite.
In addition all public spaces also had a complete makeover.

Tywyn Cinema Bar, 2011
The brief: Change the layout of Tywyn cinema to encompass a bar area and a small kitchen! ... and to make it cinematic and FUNKY!

The Mews are the converted dairy & stables belonging to Nanteos Mansions, Aberystwyth.
We opted for a mix of country & industrial. There are a lot of quirky touches relating to horses and stables. In the hall hangs a row of bridles.
Camilla from The Deco Shop designed the kitchen, specified surface materials and furnishings.
